With our sincere thanks to all of you who have been waiting so patiently....

The ATCpro 1.1.11 Release Candidate update is now available

You must have a prior version of ATCpro installed on your machine.  This is an update, not a full build.  Remember to disable your anti-virus software when installing.

What's in the update?

Push-To-Talk switch no longer gets "stuck"

A/C Flight Dynamics have been redesigned:
climb, descend, banking, turns, speed management
     significantly enhanced realism.

GA Aircraft sub-system redesigned:
New GA sliders in the Duty Desk
GA flights no longer impinge on restricted airspace
Revised arrivals, departures, and pattern flights
     Release requests from satellite airports

Entirely new user-defined weather system:
New weather controls in the Duty Desk
Weather display in the Duty Desk
Improved weather display on the scope

New flight schedule database based on actual live flight data from January 2016.
Point outs now supported.
Tower controller now active.
New Command:  <callsign> follow the <aircraft type> cleared <approach type> runway <number>
Improved arrival and departure procedures.

Much more.  Will have a more complete list tomorrow.

Updated commands list can be accessed from the duty desk help/about tab on the Duty Desk.

You are welcome to download and install this update.  If it holds up, it will be officially released as the first update to ATCpro.

Please let us know how this update behaves.  You can leave your comments in this thread.

Thanx again for waiting patiently.  We think that the wait will have been worth it.

Regards

Tom;
Thanks for the update. I downloaded and ran the install OK. I installed it in my C:\Flag Mountain Software folder over the previous software. When I try to run it the splash screen opens for a few seconds then the program crashes.

What did I do wrong?

I made sure to disable our anti-virus software first.  Then I made sure to run the installer as an administrator.  It worked just fine for me with the Windows 7 64-bit system.

Chris:

All of our tests with this build have run perfectly.  I know that is exactly what you didn't want to hear.  Ouch

I will talk to the team and get back to you.

Regards

Tom

Hi Dan,
Try deleting any user profiles you have created here: C:\ProgramData\Flag Mountain\ATCpro\Profiles\
Then restart the sim.
Any old profiles may not be compatible with the latest update. I've had to do this regularly when testing updates.

Good luck and let us know if that solves the problem.

Tom,

Oh no, I wasn't the one having trouble.  I was simply offering the suggestion to the other person to make sure the anti-virus was turned off, and to run the installed as an Admin.  That's all. Smile

The whole process ran perfectly for me.  I will test it further this week hopefully.

Dave;
Thanks a million. That did the trick. I deleted the profiles and restarted. Now everything is loading and working.

Thanks again,

Dan
