Hi all.
Just for testing, I started a night shift at ATL, and during the relief briefing, he says "Reduced staff". Does this have an impact on anything at all? Like which airspace is open, or is controlled?
If that is so, is there a place to see the opening hours for different airspaces?
Thank you

BjornMa:

What this means in the real world is that one or more positions have been combined.  Will check to see the effect on ATCpro.  I haven't encountered this in my sessions.

Thank you Tom.

Would be interesting to see if this is implemented, as it makes sense. Might make it more fun during the less busy hours, as you now have another (maybe more?) airspaces to control.

BjornMa:

Please remember that you can "sign up" for as many ATC positions in a given facility as you would like to work.  You do this on the Duty Desk.  For example, when I work ABQ, I always select both the North and South controller positions.

Another popular combination is SEA, working west feeder and final.  Can do a similar thing for ATL.
