AMF took off from rwy 21 from ABQ. I vectored it to AMRRA and the icon went from white to green. sometimes it the green N goes form N to C but not always.  How do I handle this?

Do you have automated handoffs enabled?

OK, found it under program settings. I found it not working once or twice.

Ok, first of all. The aircrafts you are controlling are suppose to be white, while controlling the South sector of ABQ, you want a white 'S'. If it changes automatically from S to N or C, you have the automated handoffs enabled, disable this (unless you want it on of course).

I am assuming that if you turn auto handoff off you have to type c and click on the lead dot of the aircraft you are controlling every time?

What does it mean when you are handeling an aircraft in the south ABQ and the white S turns to a green N?

Yes, that is correct.

When it turns to a green N, it means the aircraft is handed off to the North controller, with auto handoffs enabled this happens when the simulator thinks you are directing an aircraft into his/hers airspace.
