I watched lessons 5 and 6 twice and reviewed the documents available in the Support Section.  However, I have questions:

1.  Assuming an aircraft is capable of an ILS or RNAV approach, how does a controller choose the method?  Is one better than the other?  Is there a rule stating that if both are possible the controller should choose one over the other?

2.  The Arrival/Departure maps are adequately explained in the lessons, but the Approach maps are not.  For example, ABQ Approach maps are:  I03, I08, R03-Y, R03-Z, R08-Y, R08-Z, R21-Y, R21-Z, R26-Y, R26-Z, S08, T08.  What do the letters I, R, S, T, Y and Z signify?

3.  Specifically from lesson 6, SKW4462 is using the LOWBO3 arrival route.  Why give a 135 heading command when the aircraft can simply follow the planned LOWBO3 approach route to CMSTR which is a similar path?

4.  There is no explanation of how and when to use the localizer.  Where can I find more information on how it’s used in ATC Pro?

5.  In lesson 6, east flow landing runway 08, SUPOT is the final approach fix (FAF).  When I activate maps for western flow, I don’t see a final approach fix for runway 26.  Similarly, looking at the map, I cannot tell what the FAF is for ABQ runways 12, 21 and 30 and AEG runway 22.  What am I missing?
