Just getting back into ATC Pro now that I have some more free time.  I enjoy working Kansas City however I forgot how many bugs are in this Facility.  I'm not trying to offend anyone but from a User or new customer standpoint when you start controlling in this facility you can be disappointed really fast.

I would almost be tempted to say that if a serious overhaul is not in order in the next version, then pull it until it's fixed.  Imagine you just paid full price on your brand new ATC Program to find out one of the Facilities that's included in that price is basically un-usable.

If you're wanting to move up career wise and you get to Kansas City you're going to be highly disappointed.  I enjoy KC because I used to fly out of there and I've done some controlling in other simulations, so I Personally would hate to see it go, however in it's current state I don't think it's doing the user or the company any good to have in the Simulation.

Maybe to save some of your customers the same frustration and to re-enforce their belief in your product you should take it out until fixed.  I say this as a suggestion to help the program, not complain as I love it, it's the best I've ever seen.  It just needs some tender loving care to shore up some of the rough areas.

Respectfully

WB

Between the Center not handing planes off, to the airspace map not matching who takes the handoff and the "dings" you get, I gotta agree here.

Are improvements at Kansas City part of Build 21? Beta-testers? Developers? Crickets?

I've been running South Finals at Atlanta and getting the same thing. It's impossible to run an hour long session without getting dinged for AI craziness. I understand KC is the worst (never run KC, myself), but I think the AI in general needs major work. Hopefully, this is something they're working on.

I love MCI.  It has a nice airspace structure that would be really enjoyable as an ATL trainer.

I spent a lot of time documenting problems at MCI in a beta a year or so ago.  Seemed they deferred fixing any of those things at that time, but I hope for this time.

bill3810:

I acknowledge that KMCI didn't receive as much attention and effort during development.  All of the other facilities had a "champion" and were worked and tweaked more thoroughly than KMCI.

But, you can definitely help.  Please either private message me or post your list of bugs, and we will designate you the KMCI specialist.  We would like to fix the problems too.

When you report a bug, please be sure to give us as much information as possible.  day, time, settings, etc  etc.  There is no such thing as too much information.  You can also send me your log file.

Best thing, in addition to the above, would be a video clip, if you have the screen capture software.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, it now appears that the release of V21 might be delayed a bit.  But, that's good news, cause it will give us more time to work on KMCI.

Thanx for helping.

Regards

@tom

Sure would love to.  I'll start running 1 hour sessions in each sector and I'll record them and try to mark the times you need to be watching.  I think most of the major issues can be seen just by running one of the major sectors as you will see everything that's going on.  Sorry took so long to get back to this, been really busy with work.

All:

The source of the issue causing the erratic A/C behavior at KMCI has been identified.  (Yea).  It is in what is known as the airspace file.  It will take a few days of effort to analyze this file and adjust it to correct the issue.  Use of some software diagnostic tools will be required, as well as several cups of coffee.  I will post an announcement of the fix as soon as it is available.
