When a VFR airplane under flight following transmits "airport in sight, cancel vfr flight following" (or whatever the exact phraseology they're using is), what are we supposed to do as controllers?  In real life I'm pretty sure I have to stay on frequency until I get "radar services terminated, squawk 1200, maintain VFR" (or whatever the standard "please go away now" phrasing is).  In the sim, the airplanes seem to just cancel and then go deaf.

Is that as intended for the sim?

You tell them "radar service terminated, squawk VFR, frequency change approved." Their tag then drops indicating they've squawked 1200. What irks me is when they pop back on freq, their tag pops back up, and they say "airport in sight" again and you have to radar terminate them again

I'd like to to 'terminate' them, that's for sure.

If they pop back up, just ignore them, especially if they're below radar.

I still get some VFR traffic even when every airport in the airspace is solid IFR.....
