    Posted: 02 May 2016 at 8:34pm
ATCpro Version 1.1.19 was officially released this morning (Monday).
The "full" build will replace Version 1.0 on the Flight1 website and should be available for download by the time you read this announcement.

The "small" build (ATCproSetupSmall.exe) will install ONLY if you have a existing copy of ATCpro installed on your computer.  It will also be available for download from the Flight1 website, but you can also get it here:

Thanx to all of you who tested and gave us feedback.  We appreciate your support.

Hi,

Well, .. after running a 3 hour session at ABG (1500z-1800z - Sat), .. the one thing that has changed is, .. no more Overflights. I would regularly get a half a dozen or so Overflights on this session. Got them with 1.1.18, .. but nothing with 1.1.19 Confused

What hasn't changed, .. is the 10 degree Heading offset. There is still some weird issue between the heading of the Aircraft, .. and the heading the program thinks it's on. e.g. an Aircraft is on a heading of 180 (as reported), .. instruct the Aircraft to 'Maintain Present Heading', .. and it will turn to 190. Try and get an Aircraft to do a 360 degree turn to the right, .. and he will turn 10 degrees to the right and stop there. Turn the same Aircraft 360 degrees to the left, .. and he will do 350.

Aircraft are still not complying with their Minimum and Maximum speeds. Shocked

Another issue, which I'm not sure I've reported before, .. is that the menu shortcut keys for .. 'Turn xx degrees left' and 'Turn xx degrees right' .. are incorrect. Strangely enough, they use the (incorrect) shortcut keys from the examples on page 23 of the Quickstart Manual. These keys are listed as LD and RD (which work), .. but, the Examples show DL and DR, which is what the shortcut keys reflect Confused .. which don't work.

I know that most people are probably not using the Command Keys, .. but unfortunately, it's the only way I can play the sim. The Speech Recognition is just too frustrating for me to have to deal with, .. 50% of the time. btw, I have half a dozen or so other speech driven programs, .. and they all work 100% fine. So, I don't know what's going on with the SR in ATCPro .. Cry

Anyway, .. I can't say I'm not slightly concerned about the sense of finality with regards Tom's comments in his original post .. it's almost as though .. it's the final build .. Shocked

.. not saying it is, .. just seems that way.

Still a few issues that need resolving .. aside from the ones I've mentioned here.

Cheers
Tom

I love the strides that have been made with this program lately. But still there are issues. Still no VFR flight following.. Has this been addressed? Are there plans to fix this? I've seen lots of posts reporting this issue but I'm not sure if there has been a response from flag mountain regarding this.

Also, as Tomecatt mentioned , there is an issue with the headings as described above.

This is a great program and my comments come from a place of love. Great sim! Let's make it greater!

Mostly the fix for the GA arriving below MVA at TYS.  A few other tweaks here and there.

This is not the final build.  We wanted to get this update out as the official version because we are going to begin a publicity campaign.  Don't worry, be happy.

** THIS **  (VFR traffic question)

No matter what I do (change day and/or time, face north, chant the mantra, etc.) it always now says "....and average 0 operations per hour from 6 AM and 9 PM"

Is it just the message? I don't seem to see traffic between the airports any more, and as OP mentioned no flight following craft. All I see is pattern work around Double Eagle and one other to the south.

VFR flights seem to be gone. All I see are pattern flights.

Guys:

VFR, overflights, and flight following are all still there in ATCpro.  Nothing was done to remove them.  I have run sessions where I see all of these.  But, please understand that these are random flight, not on a set schedule, and depending on how the calculations come out, there may or may not be some in your session.

However, I will check into the calculations and make sure that our randomizing process is correct.
